कांग्रेस का यहां राष्ट्रीय महाअधिवेशन हो रहा है और देश भर के दिग्गज कांग्रेस नेता इसमें शामिल हुए हैं तो राजनीतिक विश्लेषक भी इस महाधिवेशन में कुछ बड़ी चीज,कुछ नया तलाश कर रहे हैं। कांग्रेश की पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी ने आज अपने उद्बोधन में राजनीतिक पारी से अब संयास लेने का संकेत दिया है तो राजनीतिक गलियारे में एक नई हलचल सी मचती दिख रही है।

  छत्तीसगढ़ के नवा रायपुर में जारी तीन दिवसीय कांग्रेस के 85वां पूर्ण महाअधिवेशन के दूसरे दिन कांग्रेस की पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने संबोधित किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने कांग्रेस में अपने कार्यकाल को लेकर बात कही। कांग्रेस की पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने अपने राजनीतिक पारी से सन्यास लेने का संकेत दे दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि देशभर में चल रही भारत जोड़ो यात्रा के साथ उनकी राजनीतिक पारी भी अंतिम पड़ाव पर है। सोनिया गांधी ने कहा कि मनमोहन सिंह के सक्षम नेतृत्व के साथ 2004 और 2009 में कांग्रेस की जीत ने मुझे व्यक्तिगत संतुष्टि दी, लेकिन मुझे सबसे ज्यादा खुशी इस बात की है कि मेरी कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष की पारी भारत जोड़ो यात्रा के साथ समाप्त हुई, जो कांग्रेस के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण मोड़ था।

कांग्रेस की पूर्व राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने राष्ट्रीय अधिवेशन में कहा कि 1998 में जब पहली बार कांग्रेस की राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष बनी तब से अब तक लगातार उनका अच्छा और बुरा दोनों तरह का अनुभव रहा। मुझे कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ताओं का भी महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग मिला। सोनिया गांधी ने कहा कि लोकसभा 2024 के चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी को हराने के लिए सभी विपक्षी दलों को एक मंच पर आना ही होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्षी पार्टियों को थर्ड फ्रंट बनने से बचना चाहिए इससे भाजपा को ही मजबूती मिलती है। भारत जोड़ो का संकल्प जोधपुर के अधिवेशन में लिया गया था जिसमें देश के मुद्दों महंगाई और अन्य विषयों पर जनता से संवाद किया गया था।

His grounded wisdom and deep experience is a crucial asset for the Congress, especially in these challenging times. His journey from a dedicated grassroot worker to the highest post in the Congress is a matter of pride for all of us. It reflects the ideals of India for which our freedom struggle was fought, and the values of our Constitution. It continues our rich and unparallel tradition of internal democracy. 

She said,I had the honour of taking office as President for the first time in 1998. Over these twenty-five years, our party has seen times of high achievement as well as deep disappointment. The support, goodwill and understanding of each one of you and all the Congress party workers throughout the country has given us all strength. Our victories in 2004 and 2009, along with the able leadership of Dr. Manmohan Singh ji, gave me personal satisfaction, but what gratifies me most is that my innings could conclude with the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The Yatra has come as a turning point. It has proved that the people of India overwhelmingly want harmony, tolerance and equality. It has renewed the rich legacy of dialogue between our party and the people through mass contact programmes. It has shown us all that the Congress stands with the people, and is ready to fight for them. I congratulate all party workers who have worked hard for the Yatra, the colleagues – young and old - who took part in it, and the lakhs of people of India for their participation, support and affection. 

She said,I specially thank Rahul ji whose determination and leadership were crucial in the Yatra’s success. Friends, this is a particularly challenging time, for the Congress and for the country as a whole. Prime Minister Modi and the BJP-RSS regime has relentlessly captured and subverted every single institution. It ruthlessly silences any voice of Opposition. It has caused economic ruin by favouring a few chosen businessmen at the expense of all others and of the people, of the ordinary people. And most distressingly, it fuels the fires of fear and hatred against fellow Indians. It viciously targeted minorities, and ignored crimes and discrimination against them, against women, against Dalits and against Adivasis. It mocked Gandhiji, and through its words and actions shows its contempt for the values of our Constitution.in many ways, the situation today reminds me of the time when I first entered politics. Then, as now, we faced a difficult struggle ahead. At this crucial time, each one of us bears a special responsibility towards our party and towards our country. The Congress is not just a political party. We are the vehicle through which the people of India fight for liberty, equality, fraternity and justice for all. 

We reflect the voices of people of all states, religions, languages, castes and genders. We work to uphold the dignity and fulfil the dreams of each and every Indian. So, the path ahead is not easy. But my experience, as well as the rich history of the Congress, tells me that victory will be ours. To achieve it under Kharge ji’s leadership, we must tackle the regime with boldness and vigour, and stand side-by-side with the people it attacks. We must reach out to people, and convey our message with clarity and cohesion. We must work with discipline and timeliness, to respond quickly in this fast-paced age. Above all, we must be ready to put aside our personal expectations, make sacrifices, and work with unity and a sense of common purpose.
