With the objective of implementing the Prime Minister's vision of good governance by empowering people through "good governance", the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India in collaboration with the Government of Chhattisgarh is organizing a two-day Regional Conference on "Good Governance" from 21st to 22nd November, 2024 at Hotel Fairway, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
The closing session of this conference will be addressed by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Union Minister of State (PP) Dr. Jitendra Singh. Chief Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Shri Amitabh Jain and Secretary, DARPG, Shri V. Srinivas will deliver the inaugural session as well as the closing session. During the session, an e-booklet on shortlisted initiatives on National e-Governance Awards-2024 (MGMG) will be released.
The two-day Regional Conference focusing on Good Governance will showcase the holistic approach in the overall development of districts. Raipur Regional Conference is the 26th Regional Conference organized by DARPG during the period 2014-2024. During the conference, representatives of best practices will provide a brief picture of their initiatives and a brief account of the transformational changes brought about under select Government schemes.
The main objective of the conference is to bring national and state level public administration organizations on a single platform to share experiences in innovations in public administration, future public solutions for improving quality of life, good governance, e-governance, digital governance, etc. In the two-day conference, representatives/DMs/DCs of the States are invited to make presentations on good governance practices of the States for wider dissemination and possible replication.
